Aside from cooking your abs with a golden-brown veneer, there is another potential way to absorb more and it involves protein.

A paper in the journal, Food & Function found when rats were given vitamin D3 and whey protein they absorbed more of the former because it’s bio-accessibility improved. Okay, so you may not have fur and a twitchy tail, but due to the times we’re faced with, it may be worth washing down your vitamin D supplement with your protein shake.

It’s a strategy that may or may not work, depending on the level of rat in your DNA (97.5%), but it certainly won’t do any harm.
